Waves March Madness Sale and many more!

Hi Hi Hello Guys!
It's me again! I know I know, you missed my voice and crazy videos. But be patient my friends! Today I've got for you another part of great sales and deals. Audio gear is expensive as hell (I mentioned it one post ago :P ), so weekly/monthly sales are best ways to get vsts cheaper and easier.

Waves - one of the best creators of mixing and mastering tools started  a Mega March Madness (please say that using Don LaFontaine's voice)

                                                 Link to WAVES SPECIAL OFFER

You can buy tons of their plugins in great discounts, the more plugin you will buy, the more money you will save. Even 40 % . But there's a hook. Waves says: Limited time offer. Single plugins only (no bundles - Chris). Discounted plugins are ordered by price from high to low. Tricky, but I saw on their site for example Waves Vocal Rider (great vocal shaping plugin by the way) discounted from 249 bucks to 29! Really cool right?

If you spent all of your money in restaurants, cinemas or somewhere (it's not my business :P) you need to check one company. Soniss - as they said :

Professional sound effects libraries for use in films, games and interactive projects

100% True! I love them. They know what they do. Many good libraries, tons of great sounds. But I know you can only buy them. As I said you spent your money in weird places and you don't have money to shopping on Soniss.com. BUT FEAR NOT!!!! Soniss once per year is making a HUUUGE free sound effects pack. In 2018 is over 36GBs of high quality, creative commons 0

See you soon my friends! May the sound be with you... always

Ludum Dare 41 !!!

Hey Hey Hello! I have to say that: EVERY GAMEDEV GUY HAS TO COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE GAME JAM IN HIS CAREER. Thanks for reading! Bye.

I'm kidding. Today I will talk about my sound design in our Ludum Dare 41 game called "Trishoot".
Here's the link to Trishoot : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/trishoot  (just download and play :) )
(this is the shoot of the gameplay)
The concept of this game came from game designer - Kornel - who shot an idea "Let's compare match-3 with shooter). Oh I just forgot to mention : theme of LD41 was "Combine 2 incompatible genres". So whole team loved the Kornel's idea, and we started prototyping. When I heard this concept, I immediately looking for the best audio solution of this game. Lucky (or unlucky xD) for me was fact, that we haven't any graphic artists, so (I did some sketches when I was young xD) I decided to make a graphics too. That was a really good option for me and audio, because I was the creat…

FMOD tutorial - How to make modern Shooting sounds (and be stressed as hell in the same time!!)

Hi guys!!
I knew this moment will come : my first FMOD tutorial :) I love this middleware for the easy and friendly interface, and tons of ideas that're coming through the hours of working:) So I came with idea to create FMOD event, where you can control few sounds and actions with only one parameter (knoob) and I'm a big fan of Battle Royale games, where my older (and more mature) friends - sound designers invented a tricky method to inform a player that his ammo is getting lower. They made it by change the sound of shooting bullets through the whole ammo magazine.

This is my first time in front of camera... Guys I was stressed as F5#K!! :) I totally forgot what I was talkin' about! :D But everything for You ;)

About music... SoS music chart 01 !!!1!oneone!!

Hi guys!
March was a really busy month for me... so I didn't have much time to post here. April started a little bit (slightly :D ) lighter so my first thought was "hey Chris! move your ass and post on your blog you little bastard!".

I know - Speed of Sound is about sound design in games, movies, media, but I think, good sound designers are also music lovers. So I decided to make a top 5 of my favourite (mostly played) music tracks for each month. I love my music folders, my music "routine" but I'm also open for a new music, so guys don't be surprised when you will see the same tracks few months in a row :D
Let's start:

No5 - Deadmau5 - Cat Thruster - I love Deadmau5 catchy, hypnotizing beats with analogue feeling. Cat Thruster starts with lovely lovely bassline. It reminds me the best 70s funky basslines. Really good mixed with kickdrum attacks listener with good energetic vibe.

No4 - Lights & Motion - Pandora - Post rock is new for me. And I fel…
